What Is the SmartDrop Valance?

The SmartDrop is a motorized front drop that extends from the leading edge of your retractable awning, creating a vertical shade screen. When the sun is low on the horizon during early morning or late afternoon, the SmartDrop drops down to block direct glare that a horizontal awning cannot reach. When not needed, it retracts fully into the awning bar, completely hidden from view.

Valance Fabric Options

SmartDrop valance fabrics are available in solid Sunesta colors and select patterns that coordinate with our full awning fabric collection. Many homeowners choose a complementary or contrasting color to create a distinctive two-tone design. The same solution-dyed Sunesta acrylic provides UV resistance, color retention, and weather durability on the valance as on the main awning.
